I can’t believe the Dems can’t come up with a viable, centrist candidate. Biden is extraordinarily unexciting, and the others are no-names. The liberals, whether media, politicians, or regular people seem to truly believe if they want something bad enough, it will just happen. Doesn’t work that way. Thank God! Probably their “participation trophy” mentality. First Hillary, then Warren . . . . mind boggling.

I don't think that is accurate comparison. In England, the NHS runs the hospitals and doctors, etc (I had a very positive experience in the NHS). It is more like the VA medical system (where I have had one good experience and one disasterous experience). Medicare for all is ONLY A FINANCING/PAYMENT mechanism, it is not brick and mortar, it is not hiring, it is not running health care, just paying for it. I'm no fan of Medicare for All (although I am loving it for myself) but think comparisons need to be closer to apples to apples.
HWR I understand your comment but there are two more things to consider. First this is similar to what is experienced in Canada with a M4A program. Second I believe that Warren and other statist Democrats see a NHS future for us as a target. One much to be feared.
Anyone who has dealt with the us military medical system should be scared of a civilian version of it.
You think the government can pay for everyone's healthcare and then just leave it alone? Not get involved?
I am sure those of us that spent time in the military can speak to that. My wife had 2 kids while I was active duty. She had ZERO choices in doctors for giving birth. None. If that is what people want, because that is what they will get, sure. Vote for it! I was young, never got hurt or sick, but for the most part it was "Motrin" and see ya later.
I know people hate anecdotes, especially when they don't agree, but my experience is all I have to go on. I have been on Medicare for 2 1/2 years. Now in the interest of full disclosure, Medicare is a UHC Medicare Advantage Plan, and I have TRICARE for life as secondary. Both are government paid for plans. I pay no premiuims, but I do pay some copays. I have been extremely pleased with the benefits and the accommodations that both plans have made for me. Sure it would not work for everybody, but to ass/u/me government funded healthcare is a disaster, would go against my experience. There is a world of difference between government funded and government administered/run/whatever health care.
Exactly. My best friends wife was told the pain she was having was a figment of her imagination...she ended up having some real problems in her fallopian tubes. Which led to no more children possible.
